Noe Rubio is selling his conversion that was originally owned by Hector Gonzales. Here is the info supplied by Noe along with some pictures. The asking price is $17,500. Very tempting. His phone number is 310-766-4518.

1966 Chevy Corvair Corsa convertible.
Frenched tail lights
Shaved doors
Side mirrors custom mounted between glass and door. They are not screwed into door.
Ebrake is next to shifter like an 90 iroc z.
350 Chevy small block 4 bolt with good compression have numbers written down, can and will provide later.
Rebuilt carb, less than 50 miles
1966 v8 cidco diff 4 planet gears posi production case w/speedo drive hole & drain plug, less than 50 miles
V8 Sag trans with Mike Levine big block main shaft w/ rollers, with redline transmission fluid less than 50 miles
New clutch, less than 50 miles
New optima batt, less than 50 miles
New starter, less than 50 miles
New master cylinder, less than 50 miles
Resurface& balanced flywheel, less than 50 miles
Ceramic coated original crown headers, less than 50 miles.


I have $1152.00 in receipts on misc parts not including the purchase of the new rebuilt transmission or labor costs. Transmission and diff were rebuilt by a well known corvair transmission friend, Dan Drommenhowsen. I'll send you current photos this weekend. These are my other Vairs . The bottom is the v8 engine . I continued the conversation with Noe after John had gotten his information. It appears that the car is in need of new rocker panels in addition to some paint work.
